In this work, I took the text from the transcript of an interview of a local family. Their story reminds me of so many others, all equally angering to me. I decided to use their story with my own spin on it- I wanted to completely change the tone without changing the text. Below is my version, where I emulated the trappings of a court transcript, released to the public and marked-up by the reader.
